Genuine Kothari stock is backed by real, verifiable third-party certification, not just a label. Here is exactly what each mark guarantees when you buy from JAD.
ISI Marked (BIS)
IS 15778 & IS 17546 (CPVC), IS 4985 & IS 4984 (UPVC), IS 13592 & IS 14735 (SWR), IS 16098 (UDS Foamcore).
Why it matters: this is India's mandatory government safety mark. Pipe without it is not legally sellable for pressure plumbing, and it is the single biggest tell of substandard, grey market stock.
CFTRI Certified
Central Food Technological Research Institute certification for food grade, drinking water safe material.
Why it matters: confirms what flows through the pipe stays safe to drink, with no leaching or contamination risk on potable water lines.
NSF / ANSI / CAN 61
Kothari KwikFlow CPVC pipes & fittings certified by IAPMO India to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61, File No. 1144, valid through October 2026.
Why it matters: the same international potable water safety standard used to certify plumbing systems in the US and Canada.

Why it matters: lets architects and builders specify Kothari CPVC on GRIHA and SVAGRIHA registered green building projects to meet sustainability norms.

CIPET (Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt of India) Report No. 36356 on Kothari uPVC Agri Pipe: lead not detected, with cadmium, mercury and other regulated substances all within safe limits.
Why it matters: an independent government laboratory result, not just a manufacturer's claim, for water that is actually safe to drink or irrigate with.
